Certification

The Templaw certification

A private trust scheme, awarded at the end of a Templaw engagement and publicly verifiable by anyone you show it to.

Definition

What the certificate attests

This badge attests that this company has benefited from Templaw support and meets the award conditions of the Templaw programme.

It carries three facts and only those: who is certified, at what level, and over what scope — the exact list of documents covered.

Every certificate has a permanent public address. The person you show it to does not have to take your word for it: they open the link and read the answer.

Process

How it is issued

01

Your documents are produced

Legal notice, privacy policy, cookie policy, terms of use, terms of sale — built from what your business actually does, not from a generic template.

02

A jurist and a DPO review them

Two to five working days. The review is human: it is about substance, not about whether the headings are present.

03

The level is decided

Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum, according to the award conditions of the programme. The level is reasoned and explained to you before it is published.

04

The certificate is published

You receive a public address and an expiry date. The certificate stays readable until that date, or until it is withdrawn.

Levels

The four levels

The level reflects the extent of the engagement and of the scope covered. It is not negotiable and it is not bought.

Bronze

Document foundation

The programme’s foundation set of documents, over a limited scope.

Silver

Complete foundation

The programme’s complete foundation, over the main scope of the business.

Gold

Extended scope

An extended scope, with continuous tracking of programme updates.

Platinum

Widest scope

The programme’s widest scope, with documented governance.

Scope

What the certificate is not

It is not legal advice within the meaning of article 54 of French law no. 71-1130 of 31 December 1971, and it does not replace a lawyer.

It is not a guarantee about the future. It attests to a state on a date. Regulation moves and so does your business — which is why every certificate carries an expiry date, and why it can be withdrawn before it.

It covers only the scope listed on the certificate’s page. A company certified on its cookie policy has not been supported on its terms of sale.

Verification

Verify a certificate

Enter the number printed on the attestation, or open the link you were given.

An anti-robot check will be requested. It sets no cookie.

How long does a certificate stay valid?

The expiry date is on the certificate itself. It is set case by case at issue, according to the scope and to how fast the applicable texts are moving.

Can a certificate be withdrawn before it expires?

Yes. If the review turns out to be wrong, or if the company’s situation changes materially, the certificate is revoked and its public page says so. Revocation is final: a new certificate is issued, the old one is never reactivated.

What does the person opening the link see?

The certified company’s registered name, the level, the issue date, the expiry date, the list of documents covered, and the certificate’s state. Nothing else — no internal identifier, no staff name, no revocation reason.

Why an anti-robot check?

A certificate’s number is what grants access to its page. The check stops an automated caller from trying numbers until one works, and stops the page from becoming a directory of certified companies.
